Momitor Math Support
Momitor Math teaches math from kindergarten through grade 6 on an iPad or iPhone. It is free, has no ads, no purchases and no accounts, and it works with the Wi-Fi off.

Where are the settings?
Press and hold the Grown-ups button on the home screen for a second and a half, then type the four numbers it shows. Everything for grown-ups is behind that: your children, levels, sound, voices, family devices, teacher mode and your data. It is there so a child cannot wander into settings or out of the app.
I cannot get past the gate.
It writes four digits out as words, like "seven six two seven", and you type them as digits on the app's own number pad. Get it wrong and it gives you a new one.
Children and levels
How do I add a child?
Grown-ups, Your children: type a first name or nickname and tap Add. The very first child, the one the setup screen starts with, can be left without a name; the app calls them "Your child". To switch children, tap a child and then the "Play as ... on this device" button on their page. Once there is more than one child, the home screen also has a switcher in the top left corner.
The questions are too hard, or too easy.
Grown-ups, tap the child, Grade. Pick K through 6, or tap "Start the placement quiz" and let it set the grade for you: four questions a grade, with no hints. The app also moves on its own: a skill opens when the ones it builds on are solid, and a skill a child stumbles in comes back as the next thing they work on.
How does it decide what my child knows?
Not by a percentage, and in steps. First five correct answers across at least four different questions, not counting quick guesses right after a miss, and not counting answers reached with the two strongest hints. Then four different questions solved with no help at all. Then the same skill again in a different picture or form. Only then does it have to come back right on a later day, and again a week after that, before the app calls it secure. Grown-ups, tap a child's name to see where every skill stands.
Sound and voices
How do I turn the voice off?
Grown-ups, Sound. Questions, hints and praise read aloud can be turned off separately from the sound effects.
Can my own voice read the praise?
Yes. Grown-ups, Sound, Your voice, and hold the microphone to record each of the six lines. Your recording stays in the app on that device and you can delete it there. Mom's voice comes back for every line if you remove it.
Can my child say the answer instead of typing?
Grown-ups, tap the child, then Say the answer under Play settings. It is off until you turn it on. A spoken answer is understood on the device and no audio is recorded, kept or sent anywhere.
More than one device
How do I use the same progress on the iPad and the iPhone?
Two ways, and you can use either. Sync with iCloud in Grown-ups keeps your own devices together through your iCloud account. Or Grown-ups, Family devices: tap "Show this device's code" on one and "Scan a code" on the other, and they keep the same children and progress over a private local connection, your home Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. Nothing goes to us either way.
The two devices are not matching up.
For iCloud, both devices need to be signed in to the same Apple Account with iCloud Drive on, and it can take a minute. Linked family devices only catch up when they are near each other with the app open, so leave both awake on the same Wi-Fi for a moment. Linking again does no harm.
Teachers
Can I use this with a class?
Grown-ups, Teacher mode. One device becomes the teacher's and shows a class code; each student device scans it. Progress comes back to the teacher's device over the local network. There are no accounts and nothing leaves the school's network.
Your data
How do I delete everything?
Grown-ups, tap the child, then "Delete this child's learning data" at the foot of their page. That removes that child's progress from the device and from iCloud, and the whole learning record with it, because the record holds no names and so cannot be split up by child. The jelly challenge levels are shared by everyone on the device and stay. Removing a child removes their progress too, and deleting the app removes what is on the device.
What do you collect?
Nothing. The app has no analytics, no advertising and no third-party code, and it makes no network requests of its own. The full policy is in the privacy policy.

Write to support@luciapps.com and say which device you are on and what happened. If something looked wrong on a question, a screenshot helps most.
